I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.

It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional

First review ever, I specialize in crappy B horror movies. If I was one of the 'actors' in this, I would be suing to get my name removed from the credits... I've seen a lot of bad movies, this is absolutely the worst...... Filming location say CT, I don't believe you can park a car in Connecticut for the money they spent on this movie..... Absolutely, don't effin' do it! Seriously worst movie ever..... I'm signing out now, hope I never have to come back in to review anything!

So these other reviewers obviously don't know a well made character driven horror movie when they see one. As an up an coming writer director I have a ton of respect for Larry Fessenden and what he did for indie horror. He is the godfather of indie horror. One of horrors most important voices. Beneath is an excellent film overall. Fessenden clearly went into it with the idea that the true monster here is man. It is a film about emotions and how friends can easily turn on each other when faced with such situations. It scared the hell out of me and with a collection of over 2000 horror films, this movie stands high on the list.

This film was awful 1.the one I didn't want to die she died and 2.Jonny died and that was the main character it was a stupid death and a bad ending to him it was ridiculous,this film was a awful story line it needed to be more realistic instead of stupid deaths and mostly all the same,more needs to happen in this...Jonny should have stayed alive from the start to finish and show the life of him when he gets back on land and telling people what had happened.... Good ending because I didn't like the brother (Simon) but other than that it was utter crap and it's also very bad acting,saying that,that's what you expect for a not so popular film !!!

Frankly I don't know how these young actors could keep straight faces while making this stupid movie, yes I said stupid. Also I don't understand how anybody and everybody involved just did not refuse to make this movie.?????This movie could have been a bit better if the giant fish in the river had not looked so false. It looked like a huge wind up toy.It looked like it come from the puppet TV series Stingray.Also I've seen many rubbish movies, and so I cant understand why they are made ??????. Why would a director, direct a rubbish film in general.???.In the movie world today there are so many unanswered questions.Part of the story line in this film is about several young people suddenly without oars to get their boat to back to land, so what do they do with their time ?????. Argue amongst themselves. I felt like telling them all to shut bloody, up!This movie was frustratingly stupid. End of story.
