I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.

I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

As a child i read "Sans Famille" numerous times. I always thought it would make a wonderful film and wonder why it never made it to the big screen. Well, the past few weeks I've been hooked on my telly when I accidentally found the TV series. It's amazing how much it follows the book, though some adventures Remi has alone are left behind but I think that helps us stick to the main story. The landscapes are amazing and the whole work has a romantic whiff. Watching this TV series takes me back to my childhood. The actor playing Vitalis is just perfect for the character. I haven't watched all episodes so far to have a complete overview but I consider it a very good children's series and not just for children. It sure does remind me of the kid I used to be.Wonderful job by the actors, amazing landscapes, follows the book with touching music, it's almost better than the book. 9/10
