A Disappointing Continuation
It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
If you know what you're getting into, Tiger Zinda hai can be a great time throughout it's long running time. Expectations is the key here. If you know how Salman Khan movies are and are looking for the same then you wouldn't be disappointed.I myself had a hell of a time with this. It's a relentless train of PG-13 action punctuated with a healthy dose of patriotism and romance. In other words 'just another tuesday' for Salman movies.Yet the flaws are glaring in spite of it all. Rushed world building, corny dialogues, tiring chauvinism to name a few. It falls prey to some of the same problems mainstream bollywood falter to.Salman Khan himself is in fine form here. That means he is just playing himself again. Katrina also does a competent job as a Pakistani agent.I think there is good chance you will have blast with this movie.
Salman Khan is known to make idiotic foolish movies and this is not an exception.Everything is bad is movie Action - very fake Acting - Fooling first you see the macho man Salman and then Katrina

2 stars just for action. I liked the wolf-chase at the start of the movie. Everything else was downhill from there.There is no realism. 1. In 10 minutes, he defeats a villain, save hostages, saves his wife and escapes the premises unnoticed. 2. A missile is fired, but no one in the vicinity are harmed. 3. A C4 is thrown at the bad guys. Their bodies are still intact with no blood-spill. 4. Hero is invisible against bombs, bullets, knife stabs. 5. A oil-gas explosion happens, but the hero and his team have no bruises, even though they were few feet away from the bomb. 6. Cheesy dialoguesA real B-class movie. Will not recommend. In this day and age, Bollywood needs to be make better movies. Salman needs to retire from making hero movies. Katrina needs to stop acting and go for fashion catwalk instead.Watch the original malayalam movie - "Take off" instead. Well made movie with human emotions, and clearly describes the string of events.
