Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.

I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.

There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.

I watched this movie when I was a teenager and I was babysitting the night I saw it. I have been looking for this movie for over 30 years now. I would love to own this movie. I am a big fan of George C. Scott. I would love to find a way to watch this movie again on DVD or on computer. I seen this movie one time and never seen it again. I have looked high and low to buy this movie and have had no luck with it. I would also like to see it on TV again. I don't have cable I have regular TV so to see it on TV again for me it would have to be on a regular channel. Please put it on TV again and please put it on DVD and I will definitely buy it.

I saw this when I was just out of high school, and fell madly in love with Mr. Scott, fell in love with his Beast, fell in love with this love story... I've been looking for it ever since. No one seems to know what happened to it...Scott's portrayal of the Beast is the truest to the fairytale's telling... He was able to absolutely capture the cruelty of the Beast, at the same time expressing his great love for Belle... I've been looking for this forever, and I've had friends involved in the film industry looking for it. All for naught, it seems...Please, please, please, is there any way Hallmark will re-release this for everyone that was touched by it?

This was a wonderful performance by George C. Scott and everyone else in the cast. This version was real life actors rather than the animated form. Like others doing reviews, I have tried for several years to get a copy of this classic version of the movie. The movie kept my focused attention from start to finish. I can't understand why it isn't being made available to the general public for viewing again? Is there someone to contact about the possibility of it being available in the future?? I hope if it does become available to the public at some point I am aware of it so I can get a copy. This is truly a classic family movie and should be treasured and shared.

When I was young, this movie gave me a great feelings that I have had with me my whole life. I feel that all persons should be able to experience the same life long feelings that this movie gave me. The acting and powerful good examples of love should be shared with all. Please make this movie available for purchase or to be seen again on TV. Please let me know if it is. I have been looking for this since I was young. Just to see it on this web let me know it was not just in my mind, I really did see it. I loved this movie, please let it be seen again. Please let me know if there is anyway I can see it again. I now have grandchildren who should be able to see this movie. I would love to share this with them. George C Scott was incredible in this role and he should be seen by all in this grand acting roll.
