If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.

One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.

A mockbuster is a film that is clearly a ripoff of another film. I really do wonder why the creators don't just sue the people who ripped them off. There have been much more frivolous lawsuits. "The Amazing World Of Gumball" did an hilarious parody of "Miracle Star". Anyway, this movie really does make the Transformers films look good. At least those had fairly good special effects.The special effects are as horrible as expected, especially with how they show the robots killing people with lasers. It's just these blue streams that leave holes in their heads. I remember near the end how they say that there are other survivors, but the budget is obviously too low to hire enough people to show them. At one point, someone says that the robots have destroyed most of the world and we just cut to a regular looking sky. Some destruction. The acting is truly horrible.I barely remember the first one, but this is actually a prequel. If there's such a massive invasion, why do we only see two or three robots at one time? Because the budget couldn't afford to put more in! This has so little effort put into it, it seems like it's doubtful to even call it a movie at all. It's mostly just people walking around. It doesn't even have two minutes of good action scenes like the Nostalgia Critic foresaw in "The Last Knight". 1/2*

Oh Asylum, why do I continue to try and watch your films. I mean, sure Paranormal Entity was descent and Gacy house wasn't that bad, but everything else I've seen is just so bad. Battle Of Los Angelas I couldn't even finish, Monster made me angry, and I literally didn't take in any of The day the earth Stopped. And now we have Transmorphers 2, prequel to trasmorphers (which I've only seen the Bad Movie Beatdown of).Well, where to begin, to be honest, this review should be short, because the film is so completely forgettable. First of all the story is just stupid, but hey, I can get over that. The special effects range from "Meh" to terrible, and the acting isn't good. The film also seems to rip off more of the first Transformers and the Terminator. And the worst part of the movie is that it is boring. I literally wanted to turn it off 20 minutes in. Some may defend it, well at least it's short, and at least it didn't cost 200,000,000 dollars. So what, if a movie sucks, it still sucks.The way I see it, the only reason anyone would like this movie is either they are related to/worked on the movie. Or you hate Transformers 2 with so much passion, I don't mean just hate it, no, I mean call it the worst movie you've ever seen. In other words, Spoony and his loyal followers. F**k this movie.1.5/10

this review contains some spoilers it was not a good movie at all relay once you think about it. why ? because it barely act's like a cheep knock i think.as in it only acts like it has 3 things from the real transformers the theme of the decepticons, they try to destroy the planet/try to take it over and they can transform1...this it was it need's i think there need's to be the autobot like transformers and the decepticons the autobots help the humans and the decepticons try to destroy the humans there needs to be better back story for that knock off for the robots 2... the robots can't talk human 3... the bad guys win (i mean as in they succeed in making it harder to live on planet earth and there for causing a underground resistances that rip off terminator movies) 4... the ending RIPS OFF from the terminator movies AGAINso it need's to feel more like a knock off better acting etc(ps i'm 16 and a transformer fandom whore so if you didn't do a complete review i'm sorry my first review hope you find it useful and i spelled ever thing right etc)

My gosh my gosh my gosh. SO bad, it makes Twilight seem perfect. (And I didn't "Hate" Twilight. I thought it was OK, but had many many flaws) I wanted to believe that it was even a little better then the utter atrocity that was the Transmorphers. I was slightly right, BUT THE BOTH SUCK! Hard. the acting is slightly better, but everyone still over acts or under acts! But everything else, a rip off of terminator, Transformers 1 and 2, and The Matrix! I mean, the ripped transformers right down to Megatron, and I swear they actually said Megatron.Final word, the film sucked, they both suck, don't watch it, because you won't ever get you're 90 minutes back.1 out of 10 stars, wish I could rate it lower.*'''''''''
