It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.

Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.

I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

Okay, I found this little movie very interesting- about a couple twin boys separated at birth- one raised to be molded in his father's (Ray Liotta) wishes and dreams for him, while the other goes off to be a rock & roll star, right at the birth of the music genre. This guy looks and sounds like Elvis Presley- his name is even similar- "Drexel Hensley"-?? As I was watching this- I "thought" I saw where this was going, and I was on board- with all the speculation about Elvis faking his own death, and possibly still being alive-->> plus the fact I believe the King did have a twin brother who died at infancy-?? All very interesting stuff- and it had me... BUT...then it goes down this other path, and ugh!! The filmmakers had a chance to do something really great with this piece, and they just blew it... Ashley Judd and Joe Pantoliano co-star.

I'd like to meet the snobby butt reviewers who dissed this flick. My wife and I were teary eyed a few different times during this movie. It was very entertaining from start to finish with very few slow parts. Now I'm in my 50's so my Pop lived through the Depression so maybe it hit home more for me. Leave a light on and Pop would swat my butt! Lil! And I grew up just fine. This film exceeded my expectations, the music was great, who gives a heck if some of the scenes were on a sound stage? The family angle and the other portrayals were pretty good. We both felt it was 90 minutes well spend on a good movie !! Screw the critics !!! ha heehaw

I see why the critics didn't like this movie. There's no violence, profanity or nudity & nothing blows up. It was moving & inspirational, well acted & the music was great. I should know never to pay attention to the critics anyway, I NEVER agree with them. It just makes me angry that a good movie like this goes unnoticed, and never promoted because it doesn't fit into Hollywood's agenda. I thought the storyline was original & interesting, and it was refreshing to see people of faith portrayed in such a sweet & sympathetic way. I think Blake Rayne is very talented & I would like to see him in other movies, and Ray Liotta & Ashley Judd were terrific.

I loved this picture. AND I am ashamed at the critics who say bad acting. This movie had my wife and I laughing and in tears. And that is what an actor is supposed to do...bring out our emotions. Every cast member especially Blake did a super job. Ray pulled the job as minister perfectly and so did Ashley as a pastor's wife. As an Elvis fan and a minister of over 35 years, I could look at this movie and see the comparisons in songs and titles and life styles. And for Blake to play this with such passion and humor and the music was so good. I especially loved the songs City Lights and the one he won the contest with "Your Love is Keeping Me Tonight." For those who criticize this movie are either bad critics or morons. It is a breath of fresh air to see a movie out of Hollywood that understands real America and not the one liberals want you to see. The movie had a plot. It had great music. It had a wonderful cast. It had humor. It had times you could feel the hurt. It had Romance. And finally it had a lesson with a Christian perspective.
