Ok... Let's be honest. It cannot be the best movie but is quite enjoyable. The movie has the potential to develop a great plot for future movies

The almost-human son of "Brundlefly" searches for a cure to his mutated genes while being monitored by a nefarious corporation that wishes to continue his father's experiments. The Fly II is better than most sequels are these days but that doesn't mean that it's that good either. Not having any of the original actors for the sequel was pretty bad plus it seems the studio went for the B-List cast and the overall result is pretty much disappointing although the special effects once again i will admit were quite terrific for the time being for this poorly sequel. (4/10)

fly one and two show" pain of childbirth" which is a science fiction lie and medical invention Orgasmic birth and peaceful or kneeling in water and standing.pain is caused by drugs and on the back legs curled which closes pelvis. one good cry of fear after would do.it should have been easier for her to drop the oblong larva. Davis gave on good long cry with one expression through the first film. no thought went into that flies are all female, and Davis would pick up on those traits too. she would have mutated and had easier birth.Davis went from supportive character to prop. We have a cast of nobodies or barely recognizable to replace them in the second.she should have given herself an abortion, and writers abort fly2, the script thrown out before actors were auditioned.

This is a highly underrated movie, people should realize that it is a good sequel. it has a continuing storyline. It is like a part 2 of the original movie. This is a true horror movie with awesome gory scenes and gripping tale of how the son had the genetic disease passed on to him by his dad.the effects are great and background score is adding fun to the drama. Acting is OK not exceptional but average. But this is definitely not a mediocre movie. The dog scene was really gross. The first part gave us how the creature is born but in this part it actually grows. The director has done a great job with this flick and I loved it best to watch it late night with some munchies on to get a good scare.

A lot of horror sequels from the 1980's seem to get an unfair criticism. What happens is the first film becomes a classic. A staple of the decade. And the fans/viewers expect a sequel to be of equal caliber and are disappointed/angered when a sequel shifts direction, style, story, or setting. For example, "Return of the Living Dead part II", "Halloween III: Season of the Witch", "Friday the 13th Part 5", "Bride of Re-animator". "The Fly II" falls in with the other mentioned horror sequels as underrated, classic 80's horror flicks that should be enjoyed on their own merit."The Fly II" features a decent enough plot about Seth Brundle's son Martin (Eric Stoltz) and the evil corporation that is trying to control him. There's some nice character interaction between Stoltz and Zuniga (even though their chemistry is a bit off) and a touching scene between Stoltz and a mutant dog. But the real reason to watch "The Fly II" (besides Stoltz outstanding performance) is to see the gore and carnage that ensues once Martin becomes the fly. It's some of the best gore I've seen and instantly launches the film into 80's classic territory! Heads get crushed, people melt, body parts gets ripped off. It's an awesome sight and worth sitting through the dull parts for (like the chase/on the run scenes in the middle)."The Fly II" is not on the same level as Cronenberg's classic but that doesn't mean it's not a great film. "The Fly II" delivers the goods and that damn scene with the dog makes me tear up every time! Only bad part...no nudity.
