Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.

OMFG, this movie was really something else! I mean, the acting was unearthly! It transcended time and space! Really, the acting was out of this world... By which I mean I truly believe all the actors were aliens and were trying to imitate human behavior. This might be my second favorite film, right after the haunting of Molly Hartley (look it up, never disappoints!) I think I peed my pants several times during this film! I couldn't believe how hard I was laughing, except maybe when the first girl died. She had her head in the game. She knew what was going down and that her friends were a bunch of assholes. Seriously, the peer pressure was real! Don't even get me started on the British black dude! His delivery was so strange... Like I said, out of this world. Then there was the randomly black cousin? Which everyone in the film was shocked by.... Maybe even they didn't know what was happening during the film...Speaking of which, there was so much that was never explained! I have so many more questions than I had when I read the synopsis. That's why I'm begging for a part 2. I need to see what happens to these jerks as they suffer in purgatory and maybe the strange old lady can answer some questions... Like where did the demon come from? Why was she obsessed with penny? Why was this movie so bad? Why didn't penny notice that there was a picture of a girl who looked just like her??? Anyway, if you enjoy watching bad horror films, this is for you. It WILL NOT disappoint! And they throw in some tits just for you! I truly enjoyed this film as a comedy! Although I didn't even want to look at the weird skin demon... Whatever that was...

They showed this on TV in the UK for Halloween. I was intrigued; after all, The Asylum are a studio best known for their rip-offs and their cheesy monster and disaster movies, so what would a straight haunted house film look like from the studio?The answer is, not a lot. THE HAUNTING OF WHALEY HOUSE is as clichéd and predictable as you could imagine, and there's no other storyline than a group of amateur ghost hunters break into a haunted house and spend the night there. Inevitably the house has an evil history and the group are spooked by a sinister ghost, but this so so poorly conceived and poorly achieved that it's a difficult one to watch.Venezuelan writer/director Jose Prendes seems to be a fan of the B-movie horror genre and yet you'd think he could create something a little more original, and less trite, than this outing. The acting is poor, the gore effects are plastered in in a bid to make something stick, and the only character I really liked was the British ghost hunter, played with relish by Howard McNair.

The Asylum seems to be making a lot of movies. Given this, you'd think they're making a profit on what they produce. Why not use some of this profit to hire actors with acting skill? Seriously! The entire cast sounds like they're reading the script cold... or phonetically! And while you're at it, bring in a real writer, someone who know how to avoid exposition.Whaley House is supposed to be the most haunted house in the country. So a bunch of kids sneak in (with the help of an employee) to see if it really is haunted. Problem is, I got so bored before anything happened that I started reading the directions on a bottle of screen cleaning spray.I understand that The Asylum cannot make an original film and resorts to making 'mock-busters.' This doesn't mean it can't make a good mock-buster. It should try... even a little.

Absolutely insane film. The acting was phenomenal and the plot was original with plenty of twists and turns to keep you enticed during your watch.You should not watch this film if you are looking for a serious horror film but to have fun and a few crazy scares. It is a horror film and delivers plenty of thrilling moments for example when they are in the house and at night. The actors are very underrated and I would be surprised if they weren't scheduled for a Hollywood blockbuster within the next 1-2 years. Clever, twisted ending and is a definite mind puzzler. 10/10 without a doubtYou'd be a fool to miss it.
