The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.

"Frog-g-g" is a perfectly fine exploitation film with some creature feature goodness.**SPOILERS**Concerned about leaked toxic-waste reports, Dr. Barbara Michaels, (Kristi Russell) finds evidence to believe the company owned by Huntley Grimes, (Michael McConnohie) is behind the series of weird mutations she has come across. Despite her best intentions, she can't find anything on him, and he threatens Sheriff Buford Lawson, (Robert Patrick Brink) to keep a tab on her while she goes about her job. When she uncovers more evidence that something's wrong with the chemicals in the town's water supply, she goes to the authorities but no one is willing to listen to her, and eventually her friend Trixie, (Ariadne Shaffer) finally manages to help her prove that the chemicals have created a monstrous mutation from the local wildlife, and discovering that the created is driven by the urge to mate, set out to stop it from carrying on it's reign of terror across the town. The Good News: This was a pretty enjoyable exploitation film. There's a lot to like from the fact that there's a lot of sleaze and nudity present. It's in for a fun time when there's a lesbian sex scene to start the film off, and it only gets better from there, complete with another one later one, a shower scene that comes complete with a sensuous massage to start it off. Even then, the start of one of the rapes is done with a straight couple doing it as well with a really long sequence that is really fun and definitely worthwhile. Also managing to work is the fact that the majority of the scenes are done in with the lesbian variety is where it gets really gets this one's attention. The fact that there's a really large amount of time devoted to the mystery about the chemicals being dumped is actually really fun, since it's got the fieldwork investigations, the testing in the lab and the fact that there's nothing that happens to make the townspeople believe in the story, as tired as that cliché is, works in the film's favor. Pretty much most of those scenes are pretty good, working to make sure that something is going on and manages to sustain a lot of interest in the situations. There's also the film's last half, which is really cheesy and fun. This is the creature's full-on rampage around town, and there's a lot to like about it. There's another rape scene thrown in, this time at a football game underneath the bleachers that is cruelly drowned-out by the cheers for the game, and then the creature joins in the game itself, there's some more great stuff featured. It's plain, straight-up cheesy action that is purely great, and then the confrontation at the Catholic school is even better. From the reaction to the creature on the campus to the methods of dealing with it and how it's finally stopped is really a lot of fun, and from all these elements makes the film all the more enjoyable. It's really the best part of the film, as there's some great stuff there. The last good part is the film's rather intriguing creature, which is a new design and doesn't seem too outrageous considering the elements presented in the film. All of these here are what make the film worthwhile. The Bad News: This one didn't have a whole lot of flaws with it. The main thing is going to be the rampant amounts of sleaze in here. Some might find the rape scenes so disturbing they'll automatically wipe this one away due to the mere content piece of it, and the fact that there's more than one in here is something to get over that some will immediately rule out on principle. There's also the film's rather cheesy-looking killer frog, as there's very little about it that won't produce anything but laughs, and it's not anything that will scare or frighten anyone. The last flaw is the decided lack of violence, as an exploitation film of this caliber needed more than what was provided in here. It's probably the only thing keeping this one from a bona fide classic, and would've made the other flaws more acceptable. The Final Verdict: Somewhat entertaining take on the exploitation goodness of the past, which has some great parts to it and not much else. Really give this one a shot if you're into these kinds of creature features or are in the mood for something dirty and sleazy, heed caution if you're not or ignore if you can't stand the sleaze at all.Rated R: Full Nudity, Violence, Graphic Language, several rape attempts and several sex scenes

I was truly looking forward to this title. It sounded and looked fun. The idea of someone making a cheesy 50s monster movie could have been worth a few laughs, but instead this title only bores. First off, there is almost no Froggg in the entire movie which is the biggest disappointment. I have to sit through 75+ minutes of lame drama and dialog to get a few glimpses of the Froggg humping a bare breasted chick. Why? On top of that the film lacks any sort of fun plot. I mean give me something thats a bit more interesting than just a bunch of talking heads. I wanted to see some hot chicks search for the creature in the swamp, I wanted to see some cuties dragged off to his lair in desperate need of rescue (Creature from the Black Lagoon stuff), I wanted to see a few goofy action scenes of the Froggg going on a killing spree, or it maybe escaping a silly trap. Something exciting! Geez, have fun with it, be creative! Who wants to sit through endless and tiring dialog scenes in a creature flick? My advice to the filmmakers: Keep going, your concepts are good, but your execution needs to be a lot more inspired. Have some fun with the creature, put the humor in the action and most important...put more creature in a creature movie!!!

I don't quite understand some of the introduction as how it pertains to the actual flick; but then again "Who Cares?" I got lost somewhere when the titles were rolling, but I think you would too. What a breath of fresh air if you love B-Movies in the 1970 - Roger Corman vain.Like other Fans posting on here, I agree that there is a degree of acknowledgment for other films such as Humanoids From The Deep. I also saw glimpses of Return of the Living Dead as well. If Kentucky Fried Movie had a section dedicated to just horror films this baby would've been perfect.Above par acting coupled with a decent script and editing made this a fun watch. I am waiting for the sequel; hopefully before I or the idea croak.

Okay, just so you know, my first date was sneaking into see "Humanoids From the Deep", so I have a definite soft spot for this sort of thing. But this is a really fun cool movie that my boyfriend (who's not the same guy...but he might as well be!) and I really dug. I think he especially enjoyed the nudity and the very talented and hot ladies who were doing most of the nudity, but we both thought it was really cool and funny and had a great time with it. I mean, this is obviously not "Far From Heaven"...or maybe it is, for monster frogs I mean. Great frog suit and guy in frog suit, by the way. They should have special Oscars for that kind of thing. Great music too. Ribbit!!!!
