The sensationalist reporter Michelle Fox presents the TV show Weird World, with phony matters about UFOS and aliens. When she hears about Cat, a young woman that claims that have been abducted with her boyfriend and become pregnant by aliens, she convinces her chief to travel with a team to the remote Welsh island of Scalled to interview Cat. She invites the cameraman Ricky Anderson with his sound technician partner; the nerd expert in "ufology" and "ley lines" Gavin Gorman; the actress Candy Vixen and an obscure gay actor to prepare the matter. They get a van and wait for the low tide to reach the island, and when they find evidences that aliens are really landed in the location, the ambitious Michelle decides to film her way to fame and wealth.

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.

You know those TV programmes which make out they are serious investigations into the paranormal. Well, this movie features such a film crew who are investigating reports of aliens - they know it's all nonsense, so does their audience and, oh dear, they just happen to have encountered actual aliens, and they're not friendly. All this happens in the depths of the Welsh countryside. This film has a lot going for it, particularly a knowing screenplay which is constantly winking at its audience, and lots of gory mayhem for those who are fans of such things. It also manages to make a very small budget look merely small.Unfortunately, its very creditable attempt to make a sci-fi horror comedy with goals which exceed its apparent ability to achieve them is fatally compromised by some of the ropiest acting I have seen in a long while. The lovely and personable Emily Booth is head and shoulders better than everyone else and, to be perfectly frank, she's pretty dire, too.

Before going any further I have to admit this is a TRUE B movie. Far from the Asian horror movies I normally like. Then lets again say this is not a horror or sci-fi, it is a splatter comedy. The characters are not realistic. sometimes you want to punch some of them but they make the movie work great anyway.I admit I was about to quit in one of the start scenes about an anal probe. It was really a bit too much for me. But I try to be open minded so I gave it a chance and the movie gave me a lot of laughs following. Maybe 8 is a high rating but I did laugh a lot and the movie did win me over from a hard start. So the recipe for great entertainment is a group of TV people, some welsh hillbillies, and some sadistic aliens. This movie was not meant to be intelligent and it is not. Turn your brain off and enjoy :-) I have watched Peter Jacksons early movies too but did not like them really. This Movie was great entertainment and I can promise I will watch this movie again not PJ's.

Evil Aliens starts as Weird Word TV show presenter Michelle Fox (Emily Booth) gets an ultimatum from her boss (Norman Lovett) who says get a good story or get fired, Michelle has a potential story about a girl named Cat (Jennifer Evans) who lives on a farm on a Welsh island & claims that she was abducted by Aliens & impregnated while her boyfriend was murdered. Desperate for a scoop Michelle & her crew travel out to the farm & discover that Cat's story is true & the evil Aliens return & the human inhabitants of the island have to fight for their lives as the Aliens kill every living thing they come across...This British production was written, edited & directed by Jake West & is a full on splatter horror comedy that is surprisingly quite good, I certainly won't be giving it eight or nine out of ten like some on the IMDb but it's a good effort & pretty good fun if your in the mood for a gory sci-fi horror that doesn't take itself seriously & has a few laughs. The film has a fun story about various over-the-top character's including a UFO geek, some inbred Welsh farmers & a mad sound guy trying to survive when killer Aliens land. The script is packed with film references & homages from Night of the Living Dead (1968) to Braindead (1992) & Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977) as well as loads of other's, this is a film for fans & I am sure any self respecting sci-fi & horror fan will notice multiple references, gags, send-ups & homages. There's plenty of comedy here too, while it doesn't always hit the mark there are a few amusing scenes here & the film strikes a nice balance between horror & comedy. At about 90 odd minutes it's not too long & has a good pace, the character's are memorable & I liked the way the script splits them up & we follow them as they try to survive. I didn't think the story was that good, it doesn't really make much sense although I did think there was a quite clever twist ending which I found amusing.Although shot on video Evil Aliens looks quite good & has nice production values for a low budgeter, the CGI computer effects although not brilliant are alright (well, except for that awful explosion at the end). There's lots of gore here too, there are ripped-off arms, ripped-off heads, shootings, someone has a drill like Alien anal probe inserted, stomachs are cut open, legs are ripped-off, a guy is raised up on a stake, there's a gory scene involving a combine harvester & there's loads of blood splatter. There is an outrageous sex scene between a guy & a triple breasted Alien female that has to be seen to be believed. One problem I do have though is that some of the set-pieces are very badly edited with quick cuts & annoying camera angles which makes things difficult to follow with knowing who is who in particular. With a supposed budget of about $1,800,000 there's plenty of set-pieces, special effects & gags on screen. Filmed on location here in the UK. The acting is alright & hot looking telly presenter Emily Booth stars although she acts like she is presenting a TV show rather than trying to be natural but that doesn't really matter.Evil Aliens is a fun horror comedy with lots of bad taste gags & gore but not much of a story & it did leave me feeling a little empty once it had finished, as long as you don't take it seriously & enjoy the horror or sci-fi genres then you could do a lot worse than this. Better than I expected & well worth a watch.

Raucus sci-fi horror splatter comedy regarding a documentary film crew, who work for a television program which display fantastic claims of UFO phenomena for entertainment purposes, running into real warrior aliens(with fancy blades as weapons wearing a special mask because the Earth's atmosphere is harmful to them) when they were researching a claim from a young woman who said she was abducted along with her boyfriend. This woman explains that her husband was the recipient of an anal drill with the aliens opening her up with a fetus planted inside her. Michelle Fox(Emily Booth, quite yummy)and her minor crew, for the exception of a VERY devoted alien abduction researcher, find the whole business silly until they come face-to-face with them in a bloody war.Director Jake West and company really provide a crowd-pleaser for fans of gory carnage. Blood and body parts always splattering here and there with the alien warriors, essentially human extras in costumes, often ripping heads(..plus arms and legs) arms off, gouging eyes, even impaling one poor soul on a wood crucifix. Farming equipment and liquid manure are used among other weapons by the humans. An adult actress, with limited talents, shoots a mean shot-gun. A running gag is the trinity of foul farmers who are the alien abductee claimant's brothers, with one of them quite gifted with a crossbow. Cattle are mutilated(..no, obviously fake), with their heads used for laughs. A farming combine is used to mow through aliens with their body parts flying all over the place. We see a woman pulled apart by "the alien inside". Jake West and his team gleefully poke fun at alien conspiracy shows and nuts using one of their own as an eventual hero. If there is a way to destroy an alien, West and his crew deliver in spades. For extra giggles, a gay character has a good many witty moments and is provided with some especially amusing moments when facing the peril of aliens on the prowl and the uncouth farmers in the midst. The inside of an alien ship shows how their guidance system works..through a massive brain, their ship's functions derive. There's even a hilarious sex scene between a female warrior alien and the nerdy alien conspiracy nut! If you are looking for a flick that is made completely tongue-in-cheek, throwing caution to the wind in favor of painting the screen red(..while also incorporating sleazy jokes and visual gags)with grue, then "Evil Aliens" will provide mucho enjoyment. West uses CGI rather well in the design of the alien ships in the film, and the gory make-up effects are a welcome presence. Low-budget, but evokes the spirit of early Peter Jackson with solid pacing and visual verve. West, I hope, will work more frequently in the horror genre..his work is welcome on my television set.
