A group of paranormal investigators enter the abandoned home of paedophile and serial killer John Gacy, hoping to find evidence of paranormal activity. Upon entering the house they set-up cameras throughout the abandoned house while going room to room with hand-held cameras, performing séance's and asking for John Gacy to come forward. As the evening progresses it seems the investigators are not prepared for the horror still within the house.

The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

Falling in line with "found-footage" thrillers comes a "true story" of a team of paranormal investigators spending the night at the site of serial killer John Wayne Gacy's former home. Gacy's house of horrors of course has long since been demolished with another house built on the same site. The anxious investigators begin setting up cameras and going room to room with hand-held cameras seeking out the spirit of Gacy. The group shudders as strange events let them know they are being introduced to the tortured souls of Gacy's thirty-three victims. Gacy's spirit may just be in hiding, but spirits that have been awaken are more than enough for the camera crew to handle. Not a total waste. There are some scary moments and mood music from Evanescence and Audioslave. In the cast: James Arthur Lewis, Rachel Riley, Michael Gaglio, Sylvia Panacione and Brett A. Newton.

Arriving at the abandoned house of notorious serial killer John Wayne Gacy, a team of paranormal investigators looking for his ghost stumble upon a far deadlier horror lying in the house and must try to get out alive. This one was a pretty flawed but still somewhat enjoyable effort, mostly because this one is yet another reprehensible found-footage effort. Due to that factor, this here carries with it so many of the usual flaws to be found within the genre, as the incredibly unnerving shaking camera that keeps missing exactly what you want to see during the big action scenes, far too many moments of incredibly unnecessary footage merely to add up the running time and the always-enjoyable tactic of keeping the camera rolling in situations where your survival is more important. That happens far more frequently in the later half which is because that's where all the fun happens due to a slew of paranormal activities occurring with the beginning not being of any real interest with a lack of action, so the picking up the pace in the later stages is a lot of fun, including a ten-minute segment of full-on hauntings that are actually pretty creepy at times and pick this up considerably.Rated R: Graphic Language, Brief Nudity, Violence and a sex scene.

This is the worst movie that I have ever watched. I am not usually a horror movie fan, because I am a huge wuss, and get scared more easily than a 5 year old little girl. That statement alone should send up a red flag about the quality of this movie. I watched this movie with my boyfriend for Halloween, expecting to scream and jump and then have to sleep with the lights on. What happened was, we spent the entire movie mocking its lack of originality, consistency, and just bad judgement call in writing and acting. They made some obvious consistency errors, such as an actor turning off a lamp that wasn't on when viewed in the camera shot beforehand. Also things like travelling alone into areas where accidents had happened - typical bad movie behaviour. We waited the entire movie to be scared, or maybe even startled, but it never came. I felt like I was watching a poorly made low-budget student film. I understand and like the idea behind the movie, but they went about it all wrong. I have never posted a review before, nor have been compelled to until now. That is how bad it was. It's not even good for a "bad movie" night, which I enjoy from time to time. Just don't watch it. Trust me, your time is better spent elsewhere.

Gacy House probably deserves more of a 7 or 8 but I'll give it 10 to measure out the negative reviews, which the film in no way deserves. It serves it purpose and is a good film that stands out among the latest God-awful horror films.Gacy House is a pretty typical story, a group of people go to a supposedly haunted house to find out if it's haunted, sure enough, it is and the group is terrified by things that go bump in the night.I'm not a producer of the film, check my other reviews if you want. I just enjoyed Gacy House, I liked its simplicity. Shock factor comes from classic jumps; the person in front of the camera, the shadows and the characters reactions to these scares. I have to say, suspense is built extremely well through frequent returns to the cameras set up around the house.Acting is fine, half are very good, such as the leader of the team and the older professor accompanying them, and the rest are fine. Nothing really special but it's okay. The script is written well, a couple of scenes that aren't necessary but several that are really well done.Give it a try, if the first half doesn't catch you I doubt the rest of it will. All in all, a fun horror film that I enjoyed.
